Our History

The early days consisted of experimenting with many types of photography including landscapes, still lifes, and models.

Photographing models led to portraiture, but having no formal training in traditional portraiture, David’s portrait work was similar in style to that of fashion and glamour photography.  Often referred to as “magazine style” portraiture, David’s fresh and unique photography style proved to be tremendously popular.  It was apparent that many of our clients preferred their portraits to look more like those found in fashion, glamour, and fine art books and magazines, rather than what was produced by traditional portrait studios.

David began expanding his “magazine style” portraiture by studying dance and sculpture poses, ultimately creating a style he refers to as sculpting with light.  The resultant blending of art and portraiture has provided our clients with a variety of unique and artistic images, while at the same time providing them with a traditional end product (Vanity Fair-style family portraits, model/fashion-style senior portraits, etc.)
