Why David Neuse Photography?

1.      Custom Designed Sessions     At David Neuse Photography you get a custom designed session based upon your unique desires and artistic tastes. We offer extremely artistic fine art and magazine style photography as well as traditional portrait photography so we have something for everyone. Pick a set style or mix it up! 2.      Experience     This is our 20th anniversary year. We have been practicing portrait art in Austin for over 19 years and have been photographing high school seniors for 18 of those years. We have experience with almost every type, size, and shape of client and have developed a tremendous variety of artistic styles and photographic techniques.

3.      Self-Sufficient & Fast Turn Around     We do it all ourselves! Except for extremely large prints or specialty items (canvas mounting, metallic prints, etc) we do all of the retouching, artistic enhancements, compositing, and printing in-house. We have complete control over all phases of the production of your portraits. You are welcome to provide your input into how any of this is done.

Since all work is done in-house we can help you meet almost any deadline you might have. It may mean altering our normal workflow but let us know ahead of time if you have special schedule needs. Also, if there is an emergency we can turn around our work overnight and even occasionally the same day you order. If there is a problem or mistake it can be corrected immediately. It does not have to be sent off to a retouch artist or lab elsewhere (which can take a long time!)

4.      All Digital     We were the fist all-digital portrait studio in Austin and our staff is trained and experienced in digital retouching and printing. We can provide products and services that go far beyond what most studios are capable of. We even have a color management professional that ensures the accuracy of color throughout work flow.

5.      Professional     We are members of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). Both of these organizations provide tremendous resources that help us ensure that you are provided the most professional and up-to-date service possible.

6.      Location     We are located in the historic Penn Field complex off of Congress Ave.  in South Central Austin. This complex has an incredibly large number of outside settings to supplement our numerous and extremely versatile studio sets. We can therefore provide mixed inside/outside sessions (weather permitting) for all of our clients without charging you for the time (and expense) of traveling to off-site locations. Of course, if there is a location very special to you we can put you on one of our longer sessions to allow for this.

7.      No Pose Limitations     Since we print all of our images in house, we do not have the restrictions that photographers who use labs often have. If you want to purchase one of our print packages that contains ten portraits they can be from ten different poses if you’d like.

8.      No Extra Charge for Artistic Variations     Want color, black-and-white, and sepia from the same image? Sure – go for it – at no additional cost. In fact, most of our proof sets already contain multiple artistic variations of each image. You do not have to pay any extra conversion fee (as you would with a lab).

9.      Fun     Our sessions are fun. We have a great senior session music play list but bring in your own iPod if you want and crank it up. Most of our poses and techniques are very similar to those used in contemporary magazine shoots. We also allow each client to interject poses or looks of their own. We always allow freedom for creativity. Some of our best looks were created just by capturing things that our clients do spontaneously.
